Studiomaster have redefined the definition of 'Compact Form Factor' with the DigiLive Series of mixers, and the DigiLive 8C takes that concept further with increased inputs, enhanced connectivity, and comprehensive digital control – all in an ultra-compact unit.
With 8 analogue inputs (6 mic/line combo XLR/jack and 1 stereo input via jack or 3.5mm mini jack), the DigiLive 8C is designed to suit a wide range of performance and recording setups. It features full front panel control using three intuitive rotary encoders, offering an analogue-style mixing experience with a modern digital core.
Remote control is available on any platform – phone, tablet, or laptop – via Wi-Fi or LAN using a standard web browser. And if Wi-Fi fails mid-performance, onboard controls provide a reliable backup, ensuring uninterrupted control of your mix.
Internally, the 8C is powered by a 48KHz, 24-bit AD/DA system with a 40-bit SHARC DSP processor. The built-in DSP section delivers powerful behind-the-scenes processing, including Parametric and Graphic EQs, Compressor/Gate, and four high-quality effects (2 programmable Delays and 2 Reverbs). With 4 stereo FX busses, 2 mono AUX sends, stereo PFL, and main mix busses, it offers plenty of routing flexibility for professional use.
The mixer also includes stereo monitor outputs, balanced XLR master outs, a dedicated headphone output, and an assignable footswitch input. Its USB interface supports playback and recording, scene storage, and system updates, while the MP3 functionality enables simultaneous playback and recording – ideal for overdubbing harmonies or performance tracks.
Despite weighing just 8kg, the DigiLive 8C packs in powerful features typically found in much larger desks, making it perfect for mobile setups, studios, and live performances where space and flexibility are essential.
