Building from the success of the speakON locking loudspeaker connector, NEUTRIK turned towards developing a similar solution for safe and robust means of power connection - In 1996, NEUTRIK released the brand new powerCON which quickly became the standard for locking AC single-phase connections in moving lights and AV products.
Fast-forward to today and with thousands of products on the market now using this connector, NEUTRIK’s continued development of the series led to multiple iterations of the powerCON connector, now including TRUE1 and even 32A rated connections commonly seen in some power distribution, amplification and other fixtures needing higher current delivery.
