FBT HORIZON VHA 118SND is a direct radiation ground subwoofer, has 1 x 18" long excursion woofer with 4" coil and 2500W Class D amplification capable of 143 dB SPL. The bass reflex cabinet offers substantial energy down to 30Hz and is ideal for extending and reinforcing the low frequencies of the HORIZON VHA system. It has presets to create various configurations with cardioid directivity, where some subwoofers face rearwards from the audience to acoustically cancel the sound pressure behind the cluster. The enclosure, optimised with BEM-type acoustic simulations to reduce resonance and turbulence of the ducts, is built in 0,70" ( 18mm ) birch plywood with black plyuria finish, has six alluminum handles, predisposition for 4 wheels, two M20 stand sockets for horizontal or vertical use and 4 support points set up to accommodate accessories in ground stack configuration in conjunction with VHA 406ND and VHA 112SND models. The front of the speaker is covered with a powder coated perforated steel grille.
The summit of the entire project is the new 2500W amplification module with built-in TCP/IP network interface. Based on OCA ALLIANCE AES70 standard, it communicates with FBT's INFINITO management suite remote control software and receives 24-bit 48-96kHz digital audio streaming from all devices compatible with Audinate's DANTE standard. The HORIZON VHA 118SND is equipped with intelligent forced ventilation and OLED display with encoder for parameter settings.
A high-brightness blue front LED allows remote identification of the device also in daylight.
