Neutrik took up the challenge and developed a new line of TRUE OUTDOOR PROTECTION (TOP) products for demanding outdoor applications. This new range includes the popular powerCON TRUE1, etherCON and XLR series. These ruggedised sealed connectors feature IP65 rating as well as certified outdoor protection to UL 50E like UV resistance.

convertCON - World's first unisex XLR The ConvertCon is a 'unisex' 3-pin connector, that converts between male and female by sliding the housing along the body. It is designed for emergency applications, avoiding the need for adapters. It is based on the XX series connector, so BXX coloured glands and XXR coloured rings can be used.

3 pole male receptacle The NC3MD-LX is a 3-pole Male XLR Receptacle with solder cups, latch locking device, nickel housing and silver over nickel plated brass contacts. It has polyamide insert, nickel-plated zinc die-cast shell and steel Ck67 locking element. Coloured coding rings for "XX" Series of Neutrik connectors. These colour coding rings are available to fit over the shell at the base of the gland, and are 6mm wide. They are suitable for use with standard 6mm wide labelling machine tapes. They can be fitted whilst new connectors are being assembled, but can also be retrofitted to existing connectors by unscrewing the gland, sliding the shell off the connector insert, fitting the ring over the back of the shell, then reassembling. The wire connection to the insert and contacts remains intact during the process.
